National Middle School Association
Welcome to the OMLA website. It is the purpose of our organization to provide you, the middle school educator, with information that is relevant, useful, and motivational. We believe that educators, whether they be teachers, instructional aides, or administrators benefit from a network of colleagues helping one another through the constant process of making our middle schools centers for early adolescent learning. This requires curriculum, instruction, organization, and a school climate that are conducive to the needs of the early adolescent..

Professional Development Institute Call for Proposals |
OMLA's annual Professional Development Institute will be held in Salem on March 6th and 7th, 2009. We are seeking proposals for presentations for that conference. If you, your school, or district has implemented curricula, instructional strategies, or management programs that are making a positive difference for your students, we'd love to hear what you're doing. Our sessions are 60 minutes long and typically presented to a classroom sized audience. Click HERE to submit a presentation proposal. |
| Nominate Colleagues for OMLA Awards | OMLA will again be recognizing middle level advocates and practitioners from around Oregon with it's Putnam and Pence Awards.
