The OMLA presents an annual staff development institute, usually during early March. Participants tell us in their evaluations each year that what they value most at our staff development institutes is the presentation of ideas they can take home and use immediately. We strive to find middle school educators from our region who have implemented successful pedagogy, curriculum, and/or climate enhancing programs that have improved student achievement. We also bring to you middle school experts from across the nation who share the latest and greatest in teaching tools to make the teaching process more efficient and effective.

We are always seeking speakers who can share programs and strategies they have implemented in their schools which have shown success with their students. If you have such a program or strategy and would like to share it at our staff development institute during a 60 minute session, we'd love to hear from you.
